**KEY INGREDIENT**
**Mica** is a term given to a group of naturally occurring, earth-derived, non-toxic silicate minerals, often used in cosmetic formulations to create an iridescent or opalescent shine. They also absorbs sebum and oil without leaving visible buildup on the skin. Mica is considered safe for use in cosmetics, including those applied to the eyes and lips. When the controversial use of child labour in mining mica was exposed, the Responsible Mica Initiative was formed to promote the ethical sourcing of mica that prohibits exploiting child labour. -
**HOW TO USE IT** Apply eyeshadow before foundation or concealer to prevent fallout from disrupting your base and ensure a clean, flawless finish. 1. PREP THE EYELID FOR LONGEVITY - To help eyeshadow grip skin and last longer, apply a light layer of a priming product. You don’t need a dedicated eye primer - foundation, concealer or even versatile products like Transforming Gel, Ultra Matte or the Complexion Perfector work beautifully. They create a smooth, even base that helps prevent creasing and keeps color vibrant. 2. CHOOSE BRUSHES - Basic eye makeup only requires three brushes: a flat shader for packing color onto the lid, a fluffy brush for blending and a smaller, cone-shaped brush for precise application in the crease or along the lash line. 3. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BASE - Use a light or medium shade to a smooth, even canvas that doesn't compete with the crease and highlight shades. Use a flat shader brush o cover your entire lid from the lash line up to the crease. 4. APPLY LID COLOR – Using a shade that's darker than the base shade, apply it on the center of your eyelid with a flat brush like our small and medium Shader Brushes. Gently pat - don't swipe - the shadow onto the lid. Reapply as needed for a more intense effect. 5. DEFINE THE CREASE - Using a fluffy, blending brush like our Medium Tapered Blending/Crease Brush, apply the crease a medium shade to the crease of your eyelid. Start from the outer corner and blend it inward using windshield wiper or small circular motions. This adds depth and dimension to the eye shape. 6. ADD DEPTH TO OUTER CORNER - Use a darker shade, apply it using a smaller brush to the outer "v" of your eyelid. Blend color slightly into the crease for a seamless transition from shade to shade. 7. APPLY LID COLOUR - Using a shade that's darker than the base shade, apply it on the center of your eyelid with a flat brush like our Small and Medium Shader Brushes. Gently pat - don't swipe - the shadow onto the lid. Reapply as needed for a more intense effect. 8. ADD A HIGHLIGHT - Apply a light, shimmery or matte shade just below your brow bone to lift your eye. Gently pat the same light shade into the inner corner of your eye or the area below the brow for a brightening effect. **PRO APPLICATION TIPS** 1. BLEND, BLEND, BLEND - Blending is key to creating a polished, professional look. After applying all the shades, use a clean, fluffy blending brush to soften any harsh edges. Blending softens dark shades and creates a smooth transition from one shade to another. Stop when the colours are seamless as too much blending can result in uneven and patchy areas. 2. BUILD COLOUR - Start with a small amount of shadow and reapply gradually to build intensity as needed. 3. LAYER FOR DEPTH - Build eyeshadow in layers to create natural depth and dimension. Start with a light base shade over the entire lid, blend a mid-tone shade into the crease, and finish with a darker shade on the outer corner. Layering gradually gives you control and a polished, professional finish. 4. LAYER FOR COMPLEXITY - Mix different textures (matte, shimmer, metallic) to add richness, depth and dimension to your look. 5. INTENSIFY COLOUR - Lightly dampen the bush for a bolder, more vibrant finish. To increase longevity while intensifying the colour, our Pro Team prefers using Face Finish or Ultra Matte. This deepens the pigment and helps set the eyeshadow. 6. USE SHIMMERS STRATEGICALLY - Apply shimmer shades sparingly to create a pop of light and drama. Avoid areas with fine lines or texture as shimmer can accentuate them. 7. MAKE A CUSTOM EYE PAINT - Add a drop of Transforming Gel to a palette and mix it with pressed or loose shimmer pigments until smooth. Use the mixture as a luminous base, highlight or even a custom eyeliner.
