    **SAFE BEAUTY INGREDIENT ALERT**
Like many safe and effective ingredients, silicones and its derivatives have been unfairly misrepresented as harmful to the skin. In truth, they pose no risk and do not contribute to skin irritation or congestion. Learn more about silicones in our Safe Beauty section.
    **KEY INGREDIENTS**
**Cyclopentasiloxane** is a lightweight silicone that evaporates quickly from the skin’s surface, helping to evenly distribute key ingredients without leaving a heavy residue. It forms a breathable, porous film that allows the skin to “breathe” while creating a silky-smooth texture. Acting as a mild water repellent, it helps protect the skin and fills in fine lines and imperfections for a smoother, more youthful appearance.
**Isododecane** is a synthetic, sustainable hydrocarbon that delivers a lightweight, matte finish. It feels virtually weightless on the skin and helps prevent color transfer, making it ideal for long-wearing, comfortable makeup formulations.
**Trimethylsiloxysilicate** is a silicone that helps lock pigments in place and provides excellent water resistance in color cosmetics. A siloxane polymer that is insoluble in water, it delivers superior repellency and enhances a product’s moisture resistance for longer wear and improved durability.
**Dimethicone** is a gentle, effective silicone widely recognized for its skin-protective benefits. Approved by the FDA as a skin protectant, it forms an air-permeable barrier that locks in moisture and helps keep skin hydrated. It imparts a silky, smooth feel while improving texture and overall appearance. As an emollient, dimethicone fills gaps between surface cells, helping to calm irritation and reduce redness for softer, healthier-looking skin.
  • **HOW TO USE IT** AS A MIXING MEDIUM 1. PICK YOUR PRODUCT - A mixing medium can be used with foundation, concealer, cream blush, eyeshadow, highlighter, pigments... almost any colour cosmetic you have in your kit. 2. CHOOSE YOUR TOOLS - Use a small, stiff, tapered synthetic brush or a palette knife to mix Ultra Air with a product. 3. PREP YOUR PRODUCT - Place a small amount of product onto a clean palette, mixing surface, jar or bowl. 4. CREAM PRODUCTS - Place product like Ultra Camouflage Duet in a small jar or bowl and gradually add drops - mixing well - until smooth and the desired consistency is reached. 5. LOOSE PIGMENTS - Sparingly add one or two drops to the product, mixing and adding more until you create a smooth mixture with the desired consistency - whether a paste, liquid or a thicker, concentrated to press the mixture into a pan to be used later. 6. PRESSED PIGMENTS - Scrape product off the pan and place in a small jar or bowl. Start with a small amount of Ultra Air, mixing and gradually more until you create a smooth mixture with the desired consistency - be it a paste or a liquid. 7. REPAIR PRESSED PRODUCTS - After crushing the product into a fine powder, add a few drops of mixing medium. Mix until a thick paste forms, adding more if it's too dry, but be careful not to make it too thin. After returning the paste into the original pan, place a clean cloth or paper towel (will leave a texture) over the surface and press down firmly with a flat object to smooth it out and absorb excess liquid. Let the product air dry completely, which may take several hours or overnight. AS AN AIRBRUSH THINNER 1. DETERMINE VISCOSITY - Airbrushes vary and the amount of Ultra Air required may differ between machines. Experiment to find the right balance of Ultra Air and Ultra Foundation to achieve the desired viscosity. 2. DETERMINE DESIRED COVERAGE – You can customize the level of sheerness or opacity by adjusting the amount of Ultra Air you add Ultra Foundation. 3. ADD TO AIRBRUSH BOWL - Typically, add 2-4 drops* of Ultra Air into the bowl of your airbrush gun to preserve Ultra Foundation's normal coverage. 4. ADD FOUNDATION - Typically, add 1–2 pumps of foundation, ensuring it falls directly into the Ultra Air at the bottom of the bowl rather than dripping down the sides. 5. MIX - Secure the airbrush lid or cover the open top with your finger to back-bubble the mixture. After tip is covered, gently release the lever (single-action or dual-action) to push air through the bowl, creating small bubbles that effectively mix the product inside. 6. TEST - Once fully mixed, test the spray on a tissue or palette to check flow and coverage. Adjust the ratio of Ultra Air and/or foundation as needed to achieve the consistency and coverage. 7. APPLY - Spray and respray as needed to build coverage or conceal imperfections. The foundation will layer seamlessly, just like Ultra Foundation does when applied with a brush. 8. NO FINGERPRINTS - The adjusted formula retains a longer drying time, allowing you to touch up, conceal or correct without leaving fingerprints that disturb the smooth, steadfast finish. 9. Ultra Air can be used with other foundations and is likely to elevate its performance and finish. AS AN AIRBRUSH CLEANER 1. Between makeup applications, add 1-2 drops of Ultra Air into the bowl and spray it through the gun until the mixture sprays clear. 2. Back-bubble and then spray through Ultra Air, wiping down the bowl and needle to catch any leftover residue. The machine is quickly and easily cleaned, ready for immediate use again. **ULTRA AIR Q + A** HOW DO I ADJUST FOUNDATIONS WHEN I USE AN AIRBRUSH? Since adjusters are highly pigmented, avoid adding them directly to a thinned foundation. Instead, customize the shade separately in a small container. Once you’ve achieved the perfect match, add Ultra Air to the adjusted foundation in the airbrush bowl to be mixed. Ultra Air will not alter the shade or tone of the adjusted shade. WHY WON'T THE MIXTURE SPRAY THROUGH MY AIRBRUSH? 1. CLOGGED NOZZLE - The nozzle may be blocked with dried product. Clean the airbrush thoroughly, focusing on the nozzle and needle. 2. IMPROPER MIXING - If the mixture appears to be separating, re-mix using the back-bubbling technique 3. INSUFFICIENT THINNING - If the mixture remains too thick, add more Ultra Air to achieve the proper viscosity. Re-mix using the back-bubbling technique 4. AIR PRESSURE ISSUES - Confirm the air pressure/PSI on your compressor is between 8–25, depending on the area of the body you're covering. This ensures enough airflow to push the product through evenly, preventing sputtering and clogging. Proper PSI ensures smooth, consistent application and prevents clogging issues.
